Police have arrested the three controllers, who were escorted last night and were not released as happened to their colleagues. Flora Ndreca, Armand Fezga (president of the union) and Muhnir Mezin were informed of the arrest.

The three controllers are also claimed to be the organizers of the protest, demanding better working conditions and wages.

They are charged with abuse of office. Earlier, their lawyer said that the accusation of abuse of office could not stand, arguing that the controllers are not employees of the public administration, while adding that Albcontrolli is a JSC, and independent of the state.

According to Article 249 of the Criminal Code, persons who have abused their office can be fined or sentenced to up to 7 years in prison. The Prosecution has investigated the case, where it has seized the necessary documentation.
