Albanian expert warns: NATO must wake up, war with 'light' is coming

Technology is changing the way war is waged. The alarm is sounded by security expert Fatjon Softa, who writes on social media that China's use of laser weapons could usher in a new era of military clashes.

He emphasizes that these weapons can hit drones and aircraft silently and without leaving a trace. 

"The possibility of using laser beams in the near future by China against drones and aircraft is an alarm signal about how technology can transform conflicts into a new modern war. This will not be a war with tanks, but with sensors and electronic jamming. Laser weapons have the ability to neutralize aircraft and drones without leaving a physical trace, changing the rules of military conflict."

"NATO and Western countries must prepare not only for conventional war, but for a technological battle, where #light can be more #deadly than #gunpowder. The US remains the country with the most advanced technology, but the threat from China remains an increased concern. President Trump has awakened the world to invest in its defense against the growing threats from China, Russia and North Korea ," writes Softa.
