Emigration of doctors, Fuga: A panoramic study is needed

Academician Artan Fuga commented on the initiative of the Albanian government to pass a draft law with an accelerated procedure regarding medical students and all those graduates who want to follow this branch to continue their higher studies.

Invited to A2CNN, Fuga said that emigration as a big problem has some small problems that need to be solved, while he added that it is not only the increase in salaries for doctors and nurses that helps in this whole process of curbing the mass emigration of white shirts from the country.

"When you're looking to make a solution, maybe it's not the best way to solve it integrally. Within this big problem, which is immigration, there are some small problems, such as that of the public health service. And I understand that despite the fact that Albanian politics did not smell this process that happened.

Increasing the salary of doctors never solves the situation. Institutions and separation of powers must be true. We have come to this crisis. So the cause of the crisis is that we do not have a cybernetically reflective political system. So, to allow interests to collide with each other and society to hear voices to be corrected along the way.

The first thing that needs to be done is a panoramic study of the state of the medical staff in Albania, hospital by hospital, ward after ward, service after service, everything, " said Fuga.
