"The consular service of the Albanian Embassy in Berlin will suspend all meetings from December 16, 2020 until January 10, 2021."

The decision was made within the framework of new anti-Covid rules imposed by the German government, and another 'doen-i lock' to prevent the second wave of the pandemic.

Through an official statement, the Albanian embassy in Germany informs the Albanian citizens that "any application can be made on the GO platform from December 16, 2020 to January 10, 2021". According to the embassy, ​​"the dates of the meetings will be set after January 10, 2021, always depending on the decisions that will be taken by the German state for the period after January 10, 2021".

Exceptions will be made only for very urgent cases such as a pass for health or family emergencies and for the issuance of a body transport certificate.

Important announcement for Albanian citizens living in Germany!

Pursuant to the decision taken by the German Government for the complete closure of all activities of private entities and state institutions, we inform you that from December 16, 2020 to January 10, 2021, the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Berlin suspends all meetings and consular services.

The Embassy in Berlin has processed all applications made until December 15, 2020, while for applications that will be made on the GO platform in the period December 16, 2020 to January 10, 2021, meeting dates will be set after January 10, 2021, always also depending on the decisions to be taken by the German state for the period after 10 January 2021.

Exceptions will be made only for very urgent cases (1- passage permit for health or family emergencies and 2-) for issuing a certificate for body transport.

Albanian citizens who have been assigned by German institutions to leave Germany in the period 16 December 2020 to 10 January 2021 and who do not have a valid travel document must ask the German side to extend the deadline after 11 January 2021. If the German side refuses notify the embassy by email at the email address: [email protected], and then the case is evaluated by the embassy for further treatment.
