Trial for murder of Albanian boxer, shots fired in front of court in Germany; 3

The trial of executed professional boxer Besar Nimani was accompanied by incidents outside the courtroom.

The German newspaper BILD reports that shortly after the trial ended, gunshots were suddenly heard about 150 meters from the courthouse exit in Bielefeld, Germany.

German media reports that the shooting injured the father and brother of the defendant, suspected murderer Hüseyin Akkurt (38 years old), who was arrested in Brussels in mid-July.

His brother was shot in the leg, as well as his father, who is suspected of being shot in the lung and is in critical condition. It is learned that a third person was also injured.

Apparently, the shooter fired from a sidewalk, then drove away in a black car.

German police arrested the shooter, and it is believed that he also had an accomplice who is being sought.

Hüseyin Akkurt is accused of ambushing Besar Niman together with Ayman Dawoud Kirit (33) on March 9 last year at around 6:00 PM in the city of Bielefeld (North Rhine-Westphalia).
