Mafia assassination attempt against Albanians in Athens: Davella and Lulo

A serious attack has shaken Athens, killing 47-year-old Albanian Irakli Davella and seriously wounding 46-year-old Edi Lulo, also known as Etmond Hysa. Investigations so far have revealed that the two victims were at a distance from each other at the time of the shooting, but both were shot by the same assailants who opened fire from a car and then fled in an unknown direction.

Greek police have launched an in-depth investigation and have discovered that Edi Lulo has been on the run since 2004. During that year, he participated in several armed robberies in Greece, including money heists and attempted murders during shootouts with Greek authorities. In 2011, Lulo was involved in a property robbery worth 405,000 euros, while another serious incident occurred in Pagrati, where he and his group robbed medical equipment worth 110,000 euros.

Greek police have linked the investigation with Albanian authorities and have received information about Edi Lulos' connections with Albanian criminal groups, where it is suspected that he may be involved in international drug trafficking. According to sources, he arrived in Greece on December 9, after a flight from Düsseldorf in Germany, while he resides in Dubai.

This assassination has raised serious doubts about Lulo's links to serious crimes and international criminal activities, while investigations continue to uncover more about the tragic event.
