Fire in Durrës, Blushi: The state exists only on paper

The Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, has reacted after the street market   on Durrës beach was engulfed in flames this afternoon.

On social media, Blushi writes that institutional irresponsibility cannot be justified by either a lack of firefighting equipment or bureaucracy.

"The dramatic scenes from the fire that is burning down the Durrës market are yet another shocking evidence of the complete abandonment of citizens and the profound failure of the Government and local institutions to guarantee the safety of property and life.

Institutional irresponsibility can no longer be justified by a lack of firefighting equipment or bureaucracy. This event is the result of a state that exists only in letters and propaganda, but which in moments of emergency disappears and leaves citizens at the mercy of fate.

A full and immediate investigation into this event, holding accountable every official who has failed in their duty, as well as immediate compensation for the injured traders. The state cannot be a spectator in the face of the misfortune of its citizens! ", writes Blushi.
