Criminal organization dismantled in Spain, two Albanians in custody

A major anti-drug operation, carried out by the Spanish Civil Guard in cooperation with Serbian police and Europol, has dismantled a criminal organization based in Tarragona and branches in the province of Zaragoza.

As a result of this operation, codenamed "Farrull", seven people aged 31 to 48 were arrested, including five Serbian citizens and two Albanians.

The operation began in mid-2024, when authorities discovered the existence of a structured criminal organization in several cities in Aragon and Catalonia. Investigations confirmed the cross-border nature of the group and their interest in purchasing warehouses in industrial areas, which served for the domestic cultivation of narcotics.

During the action, five checks were carried out in the province of Zaragoza, namely four in María de Huerva and one in Cuarte de Huerva, which led to the arrest of members of the group.

The operation continues, as authorities work to fully uncover the organization's activities and its connections to other international criminal networks.
