The United States Embassy in Tirana has announced the implementation of new security measures for visa applicants, starting Monday, December 9, 2024.
In a post on the social network "Facebook", the embassy informs that applicants will not be allowed to bring backpacks, luggage or handbags with them during their presentation for an interview at the American Consulate.
These measures are intended to ensure the safety and smooth running of the interview process for all applicants. The Embassy appeals to citizens for their understanding and cooperation, requesting that they plan to leave such items at home or in a safe place before arriving at the consular premises.
"We appreciate your support in maintaining a safe and smooth process for everyone," the announcement said.
This measure is part of the ongoing commitment to increasing security standards, minimizing any risks and ensuring the best possible experience for visa applicants.
