Meteorology warns: Atlantic storms will hit Albania in mid-November

The Atlantic storms that hit the Iberian Peninsula, causing catastrophic floods and casualties, are expected to hit our country in mid-November.

The warning comes from the meteorologist of A2 CNN, Tanja Porja, according to which the high-intensity rains and downpours that will affect Albania and the countries of the region will risk flooding.

"From November 12, 13, 14, the rains will intensify towards the east, including southern Italy and the Albanian territory, from November 11 onwards, high-intensity rains will include a part of the Balkans, Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo, North Macedonia. Precipitation is expected to be 50-70 mm in a 3-hour time interval. All this increases the risk of flooding. The rains will be of medium and high intensity ," said Porja.

According to her, "Albania and the 3 neighboring countries after November 10 are expected to face intense storms and downpours that find the territory dry, which means that the possibility of absorption is very small and this increases the risk of flooding".

We remind you that for several days Europe has been affected by the intense rains that have hit the Iberian Peninsula, causing hundreds of victims in Valencia.
