Protest against the Albania-Italy agreement: Activists accuse Rama of autocracy
Today, in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana, Albanian activists protested against the agreement between Albania and Italy for the reception of immigrants. The agreement, which has fueled fierce debates, has been described by protesters as an anti-human act that violates the rights of immigrants.

" An inhuman agreement. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, although he presents himself as a leftist and liberal leader, is showing strong autocratic tendencies. He cooperates with radical conservative figures like Viktor Orban, Donald Trump and Lukashenko ," said one of the activists at the protest.

A similar protest was held yesterday in front of the port of Shengjin by civil society activists from Italy and Albania against the Meloni-Rama agreement.

Until now, the two groups of immigrants from Italy have not stayed more than 48 hours in Albania, due to the decisions of the Italian Court and problems with lawsuits opened up to the European courts.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is determined to see the end of the government pact with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
