 Rama: The European Commission rejected us 3 times because it was not the will

 Prime Minister Edi Rama stopped his electoral tour in the Lezha district today. 

After introducing his team, Rama spoke about the opening of negotiations, where he said that the European Union has not had the desire to affirm our place in the union.

"Since 1990, we have been dreaming of being like the rest of Europe. Since '92, we have been trying to join the EU, but we have done our homework and despite this, the European Commission said 3 times in a row, look, there are some other problems, so it was not their desire to open the door to us and accept us as we are today." 

"For the first time, they want us to join the EU and to join as soon as possible, not because they fell in love with us but because we have done our duties. When we first took office, it was terrible, they did not look us in the eye, what we are saying now, and they had neither respect nor trust for us. They want to expand the EU and take in new members, and the new members closest to the door are Albania and Montenegro ," said Rama.
