The new football season has just started and Albanian footballers are part of some important teams. But how did Sunday turn out, where a series of challenges were held for some of them?

The debut of the goalkeeper of the national team Thomas Strakosha in the Premier League with the Brentfor jersey was awaited with great interest. However, it will still take time to see the 27-year-old as a starter since in the first meeting the coach preferred to throw the Spanish goalkeeper David Raya on the field.

In Croatia, the Zagreb-Rijeka derby was won by the locals with a score of 3-1. Five starting Albanian footballers were active in this challenge: three in the ranks of the locals (Mersinaj, Smakaj, Çokaj) and two in the friendly formation (Karrica and Selahi).
The first half ended with Lokomotiva leading 2-1, as the second goal for the hosts was scored by Enis Çokaj after a quick counterattack, capped off by the Albanian's perfect finish (Gorica had scored earlier.

Rijeka's response came in the 35th minute with the goal of another Albanian, Bernard Karrica (player of the Hope of Albania), with a perfect execution of a free kick. In the second half, Indrit Tuci was also active (67'), who became the protagonist in scoring the third goal (80') of Lokomotiva Zagreb with the assist for Vasilj.

In the Bundesliga, Klaus Gjasula was activated for 90 minutes in Dramstadt's victory against Braunscheig 0-1. After the first three weeks, the Gjasula team got two wins and one loss.

In Hungary, Prenga played for 90 minutes while Doka was activated in the 43rd minute of the match in Honvend's 4-0 defeat against MOL Fehervar in the second week of the championship.

Meanwhile, Marash Kumbulla started the Roma-Shakhtar friendly and gave way to Smoalling in the 46th minute, when coach Mourinho decided to make 5 substitutions.
