"The Times": Albanian immigrants increased the level of criminality in Britain, they are sending money to their homeland

"The Times": Albanian immigrants increased the level of criminality in

The British media have devoted another article to illegal Albanian immigrants going to the UK. "The Times" writes that 10,000 Albanians have gone by raft to the United Kingdom this year.

It is further written that Albanians have increased criminality in the country. Dan O'Mahoney, border police official, says that Albanian criminal gangs "gained a foothold" in northern France.

According to him, Albanians have come into contact with Albanian gangs in the UK, which dominate the drug trade, human trafficking, weapons and prostitution.

"They will disappear, work illegally in Great Britain for maybe six months, maybe a year, send the money home and then go back to Albania," he said.

French officials have stopped 42 percent of migrant crossings this year, up from 50 percent last year. O'Mahoney said: “If the French didn't stop those crossings, we would see more than 2,000 people a day arriving in small boats, it would be completely unmanageable. A system that is already overloaded would be at breaking point.”

British authorities clarify that Albanian immigrants are between 20 and 40 years old. Most of the Albanian immigrants filed asylum claims or said they were victims of "modern slavery," O'Mahoney said. A large number were "deliberately gaming the system", he added, and a growing number fled hotels used to house asylum seekers within days of arrival.
