The EU criticizes Kosovo: The closure of 6 branches of the Serbian bank in the

The European Union has criticized yesterday's action in the north of Kosovo, where six branches of the "Postal Savings Bank" of Serbia were closed.

Like the United States, the European Union called the decision of the Kosovar authorities an uncoordinated and escalating action.

"The closure and confiscation of these offices without prior notice or coordination and only days after the last meeting of the Dialogue, which also addressed the issue of the Postal Savings Bank offices, is escalating and contrary to the spirit of normalization and undermines the goodwill of Kosovo for achieving the normalization of relations through dialogue" , says the reaction of the EU spokesperson, Peter Stano.

The EU added that these uncoordinated actions endanger the implementation of the agreement on the normalization of relations.

"Once again, uncoordinated actions by one side jeopardize the implementation of the Agreement on the Road to Normalization. The operation by the Kosovo Police also jeopardizes ongoing negotiations for a temporary solution for people negatively affected by the Central Bank of Kosovo's regulation on cash operations ," Stano's statement said.
