Elhaida Dani was invited to Prime Minister Edi Rama's podcast "Flasim", where she confessed some untold things about her childhood, which she said was not easy. The singer said that she grew up in a patriarchal family and that her life changed immediately when she went to Italy.

"In a word, it is one of the biggest changes in my life because I was born in a patriarchal family. And that's probably why I had such a suppressed character.

I didn't speak up, I didn't open up, I didn't really show myself because I didn't think my opinion could matter. And it is a problem that many girls have today in Albania. So, I had a radical change in my life at the age of 19 when I decided to go to Italy because my father is a fanatical patriarch, but when he realized that I had a talent for music he said: 'What future can I have I offer my daughter who is better than what she can offer herself with her talent.'

So, the moment I left for Italy, my life changed completely. In those moments, every decision of my life had to be taken by me," said Elhaida.
