A photo gallery of Lionel Messi celebrating Argentina's "World Cup" win has become the most liked post on Instagram and every other social network.
The footballer - who led his team to their first World Cup triumph in 36 years - has received more than 62 million likes.
Argentina beat France on penalties in Sunday's World Cup final in Qatar.
The most liked Instagram post ever was actually an egg. When it first appeared, it appeared to be some kind of anti-celebrity protest - people were encouraged to engage with the photo in hopes of dethroning Kylie Jenner. She achieved the record for most liked photo ever in 2018 when she welcomed Stormi.

But while the egg overtook Jenner's record - reaching 56 million likes - it has finally been overtaken by a rival with several world records of his own: Lionel Messi.

Also, Messi has left behind Bella Poarch, who counts 60 million likes on her famous video on TikTok. Thus, Messi's post becomes the most liked in online media
