Alliance for Serbia Sticks to the Decision to Boycott all Elections

The opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) will not change its firm decision to boycott the elections, and it applies to all elections: republic, provincial and local, the alliance announced on Monday.

“The SzS will respect the commitments made in the Agreement With the People that they will boycott the spring elections unless the conditions for free and fair elections are secured, for which the deadline is long overdue,” a release reads.

A member of the SzS and one of the founders of that alliance, the Together for Serbia (ZZS) will not participate in the work of the SzS in the next two weeks until it announces the final position on participation in the local elections in Sabac. SzS said in the release that the decision was made on the proposal of the ZZS itself.

In the meantime, SzS continues its boycott campaign and calls on all groups and individuals to join it, the SzS said in the release.
