Dacic: Serbia Has Support of Trump and Part of the US Administration

Serbia has the support of a part of the administration in the White House, the part that wants a negotiated solution, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday.

“This is a great step forward, and we can only see if they will push the rest of Washington's political elite. So for the time being, when it comes to Kosovo, the White House stands are very different from the stands of the State Department”, Dacic said.

“President Trump and his people want the Kosovo issue to be resolved as soon as possible because it is in their own interest”, Dacic said and the pro-regime tabloid Informer reported.

“They want to have the Kosovo issue solved before the finish of campaign for the presidential election starts because if they get a good result with Kosovo, it would be very good for Trump in the presidential campaign”, Dacic concluded.
