Defense Minister: Not a Single Orthodox Blew Himself Up in the Mosque Yet

Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin defended the text of the new National Security Strategy in a bizarre way on Wednesday from MPs objections that explicitly mentioned only Islamic radicalism without other forms of religious fanaticism.

Jahja Ferhatovic, MP from the marginal Party of Justice and Reconciliation, objected during the Parliamentary discussion why the Strategy mentioned only Islamic radicalism.

This was because “no cases have been recorded so far of an organized terrorist Orthodox group that would do something bad” and “so far no Orthodox have walked into a mosque and blew himself up while calling God and Jesus”, Vulin replied.

Those who fought on the side of Islamic State would be a security threat “more for you [Bosniaks, those who are Muslims] than me, because, as you know, they firstly deal with the Muslims, and then, when they can get their hands on Christians, very gladly them too, but firstly they do it to the Muslims”, Vulin said, Defense Ministry reported.
