A serious incident shook the village of Piskupat in Pogradec on December 30, after the abuse of a 12-year-old girl was discovered. The suspected perpetrator of the sexual abuse is 67-year-old Rushan Selko, who is behind bars.

After a check-up at the hospital, where her parents had sent her after her physical changes, the minor was found to be 22 weeks pregnant.

In an interview with "Albania Live", the minor's grandfather demanded that justice be served.

What happened to me, should not happen to anyone. It never crossed our minds. Not criminal, but you have no idea. We want the state to take measures and enforce the law with him. Otherwise, it will leave us in trouble with him for the rest of our lives. O State, or me, as long as I am alive... We want the state to enforce the law, we only have business with him," he said on "Albania Live"
