Journalist Klodiana Lala said that the McGonigal case will hang over Rama's head even when he leaves the government.

Invited to the 'A Show' show, Lala stated that the case has stalled pending the letters of request and that the extent of that file will be understood by SPAK when the American file arrives.

"The McGonigal issue will not be a dead issue in SPAK. So a closed issue. I think it will remain like a hammer over the prime minister's head even when he leaves the government. It will be a very heavy stain and burden on the prime minister no matter what and at any time.

The case is stuck waiting for the letter carriers. The case is not closed. I would judge any prosecutor if the McGonigal case would be closed without waiting for the American file. That's where the rabbit sleeps. The size of that file will be understood by SPAK the moment the American file arrives. If a prosecutor were to close it without receiving the American file, I, as a journalist, would say that there is something here and they are closing a very large corrupt affair and for reasons of deadlines they are doing this ," said Lala.
