American analyst and Balkan affairs connoisseur David Phillips condemned the physical attack on PD leader Sali Berisha a day earlier at the opposition protest.

In a reaction to Politiko.al, Phillipsi, says that the attack on M.r Berisha dramatizes the decay of Albanian society under current leadership.

“The attack on Dr Berisha dramatizes the decay of Albanian society under current leadership. Instead of addressing disputes through dialogue, a government supporter used the violence”, the American analyst said.

In his response, Phillips raises doubt whether Gert Shehu acted alone or whether the incident was inspired by the Government’s hostility to the DP.

“Did the perpetrator act alone? Was he inspired by the government’s hostility to the DP? Has Albania become lawless, gang-controlled country? These are questions that Edi Rama should answer”, Phillips told to Politiko.al.
