The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said about 20 rockets were fired at the northern Israeli city of Safed overnight, saying most were intercepted or landed in open areas.
The IDF announced that no one was injured. A photo released by Khan public television shows minor damage to a building in Dalton, a town near Safed, caused by a missile fragment.

After a few hours, firefighters extinguished the fire in the Birya forest, which was caused by the rocket attack. The Hezbollah group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The Iranian-backed group says it targeted an air defense base with Katuysha missiles in retaliation for an Israeli attack on Kafr Yoz.
