Lela: How Rama is trying to avoid accountability and cover up the failure of 12

DP Communications Director Alfred Lela states that Prime Minister Edi Rama is coming to this campaign without a concrete program and platform.

In an interview on Syri TV, Lela said that Rama talks about a 'nonexistent future' because he seeks to cover up his failures in 12 years of governance.

According to Lela, Rama, by not organizing media conferences or public debates with his political opponent, is trying to avoid accountability.

"Rama, having neither a program nor achievements, extends into the future, speaks of a time whose nature we do not know. This is how Rama tries to cover up his failure. It would be appropriate to reveal what you have done and what you intend to do. Having no good reports about what he has not done in 3 mandates, he speaks of an Albania of the future. Rama has governed the country for 12 years, we are more in fortune-telling than in politics. Rama's platform without a program, it would be appropriate to talk about these 12 years.

He doesn't speak because he has no one to turn to. He's talking to himself. He's killed the press conference, he doesn't go to the conference, he doesn't accept the opponent in the debate. He's invented the face-to-face column, where he speaks to himself; he did this to avoid accountability and questions about what he's done in 12 years. This strategy chosen to face the public proves what he fears, accountability and confrontation.

"Europe is full of gaps. Facts and narratives collide and create gaps, and there are examples that come out with these eye-to-eye columns, where Rama mentioned the 'EU passport', handed it over, resembling a realtor from the late '90s. He will wear the passport in his hand with the golden skin of Europe. Free movement was enabled by his political opponent. As for integration, he has done nothing. He sees Europe as a commercial project, he looks like Sudja," said Lela.
