Zelensky warns: Russia could attack a NATO country early next year
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia could attack a NATO member country early next year.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky said the attack could come from Belarus.

"Russia is preparing for a major military escalation, potentially targeting NATO countries as early as next year," Zelensky said.

"Russia is preparing 15 divisions. About 100-150,000 troops are being trained to worsen the situation in the direction of Belarus," the Ukrainian leader warned.

"I'm not sure if they will attack Ukraine, but they will attack. Maybe Ukraine, maybe Poland, maybe the Baltic states," he continued.

It is reported that the Ukrainian president said that EU politicians remain "very concerned" about the US reaction and possible support in the event of an attack.

"Everyone in Europe is worried. Europeans are very worried. They are afraid that they will be left without US support," Zelensky said.

"What we see now is that Europe will strengthen this unity around Ukraine more, because this is their defense. They understand more and more that they are next. Not in the distant future, but in the future," the president noted.
