Phone call with Zelenskyy ends, Trump: We are on the right track

The phone call between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ended.

"I just finished a very good call with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine," he said. 

 "We're on the right track," Trump added of the phone conversation that lasted about an hour, Skynews writes . 

"The bulk of the discussion was based on the call yesterday with President Putin, in order to align both Russia and Ukraine in terms of their demands and needs," Trump said.

He also said he would ask Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his national security adviser Mike Waltz to "provide an accurate account of the points discussed."

"This statement will be released soon," Trump added.
