New poll in the USA, Biden behind the three Republican candidates Trump, Haley

A new poll in the US has positioned the current US president, Joe Biden, behind the three Republican candidates in the 2024 elections.

Biden, 80, is behind the 2024 Democratic front-runner, former President Donald Trump, as well as former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) in the hypothetical election, according to the Harvard/CAPS-Harris survey.

Trump, 77, would win by 4 points over Biden, with the incumbent receiving 40 percent support compared to Trump's 44 percent. Nearly 15 percent answered that they did not know or were not sure who their favorite candidate was, the  nypost reports .

Haley, 51, would beat Biden by the same margin, according to the poll, with 41 percent backing the former South Carolina governor and Trump administration official, compared to 37 percent who said they would support the incumbent. . Voters were less sure who they would vote for in that scenario, with 21 percent saying they weren't sure or didn't know who they would choose.

Scott, 58, led Biden 39 percent to 37 percent in the Harvard/CAPS-Harris poll, with 25 percent unsure who to vote for.

The poll also measured how Republican candidates would fare in a race against Vice President Kamala Harris and found that Trump was the only one who would beat Harris in a head-to-head race (46-40 percent).
