Ukraine: Putin fears real peace on his own terms

An adviser to the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, rejected the peace proposal presented today by Vladimir Putin.

Mykhailo Podoliak said there was no possibility of finding a compromise between Putin's statements and Ukraine's conditions to end the war started by Russia.

"It is absurd that Putin, who planned, prepared and carried out with his collaborators the largest armed attack in Europe since the Second World War, presents himself as a peacemaker and presents options for ending the war he started, which undermine the foundations of the international legal order and the UN Charter",  said the Foreign Ministry, adding that Putin's ultimatums have already been heard many times and there is nothing new in them.

In addition, the Ukrainian ministry emphasizes that Ukraine has never wanted this war and, like the rest of the world, wants it to end.
