SP MP Arben Ahmetaj, through his lawyers, has appealed the decision of the Constitutional Court on the control of the cohabitant's apartment.
According to the complaint, the controls are in compliance with the law and unconstitutional, since there was no authorization from the Assembly, because Ahmetaj himself, who enjoyed the mandate of the deputy, lived in one of the apartments.
Ahmetaj, on the run, requests the annulment of the decision of the Supreme Court and the sending of the case for retrial to the Appeal.
We remind you that the former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj has been declared internationally wanted by SPAK.
The Special Prosecutor claims that Arben Ahmetaj, in the position of Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship, has benefited from a villa on the coast and almost 500 thousand euros as bribes from incinerator businessmen.
According to SPAK, the values were directly or indirectly benefited by Ahmetaj, through payments from other persons, but the source of the money was Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri.
Although there is no official information about his whereabouts, Ahmetj's lawyer told the media that the former minister is in Britain with his daughter.
