Bajram Begaj towards the presidency, today the new head of state is officially

Yesterday, the Socialist Party nominated Bajram Begaj for the post of the new President of the Republic.

Begaj accepted the invitation and was later received by Prime Minister Edi Rama in office. Meanwhile, today will be a busy day in terms of developments for the officialization of Begaj towards the presidency.

Thus, before going to the Assembly, Begaj's name will be sent to the SP Parliamentary Group at 10:00, from where the signatures of at least 20 deputies will be collected for his support.

The deadline set by the Conference of Presidents is 12:00, and at 16:00 the Law Commission will meet, which will review the constitutional legal criteria of the candidate proposed by the SP.

Then at 18:00 the assembly will hold the fourth round of voting for the election of the new President. Only 71 votes available to the SP are enough for this round.
