Prime Minister Edi Rama continues with his speeches that increasingly resemble ironic monologues rather than statesmanlike statements. In a meeting with women and girls in Korça, he brought back a familiar refrain: Albanian men are "çyryk", at least politically.

"There are men who sit and wallow in the swamp. They may be good at their jobs, but they are political scum. Nobody needs them," said Rama, in one of those public appearances where the role of the prime minister is confused with that of a television studio commentator.

But this is not the first time he has used this label for Albanian men. Going back in time, the same language was used during a meeting in Dibër, where Rama again praised the women of the Socialist Party and criticized the men for their lack of political engagement.
