Pandeli Majko: I was not anti-communist, so I joined the SP

Former Socialist Party MP Pandeli Majko as one of the students of the December '90 movement when they overthrew the communist regime why he did not join the Democratic Party at the time, but went to the Socialist Party.

Invited to the studio of the show Opinion on TV Klan, Majko said that he has never been a communist, but neither has he been anti-communist.

Pandeli Majko:  For a very simple reason. The Democratic Party was not my party. I parted with them amicably.

Blendi Fevziu: But why, the Labor Party was your party?

Pandeli Majko: This is like asking Communist Party members why they went with the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party was the party of people who opposed communism and were anti-communists. I was not a communist, but I was not anti-communist. I think the fact that many representatives of the December movement were dispersed in different parties shows the university of this movement. In essence, this did Albania good.

Blendi Fevziu:  Did you find the choice difficult?

Pandeli Majko: Very difficult.
