Rama makes a U-turn, goes against the EU statement on the Kosovo-Serbia

Official Tirana does not support the European Union's statement on the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. Prime Minister Edi Rama confirmed this during a conference with Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani.

Rama said that Albania chose to take this position, since Josep Borrell's statement does not correspond to the reality of the last few days.

Rama: To return to the question regarding our position for the first time, at least in the last 10 years, in opposition to a statement of the European Union's foreign policy, this position is related to the fact that the statement of the European Union is a statement, which does not in itself have a problem, as it addresses everything that was said before by high representative Borrell regarding the obligations of Kosovo in relation to the dialogue, but there is a big problem that does not correspond to the reality of the last days , we find it impossible without seeing a second statement that addresses the events of the last few days, after a Kosovo police officer was killed.

It's the worst case scenario that headquarters could come up with at this point.

Democratic alarm of the highest level, all instruments must be used to deliver the right message. Until there is a second declaration of the EU, to establish justice, or judgement, we will not kneel to the first declaration.

Regardless of what Serbia does, we do not remove any commas for those for Kosovo. Our line is 100% of the EU, but this is the moment to loudly condemn what happened in the north of Kosovo, and what followed in Belgrade.
