The increase in the price of electricity, Balluku: The application does not

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, commented on the decision communicated today by Prime Minister Edi Rama that tomorrow, October 1, the implementation of the increase in electricity will not start for family consumers who spend over 800 kah per month.

In an interview in Euronews Albania, Balluku explained that the ban continues to be in effect, it's just that the application will not start in October.

"This is for two reasons: Consumption has decreased significantly due to the atmospheric conditions and the citizens have been sensitized" , she said.

Balluku said that from the beginning it was clarified that the bandage will vary depending on the conditions of the Drin cascade and the market demand, and in these conditions the application does not need to start in October since there is enough energy.

"Of the 17,000 megawatts/hours that KESH was required by the distribution operator at the beginning of September, today it is required about 11,000 megawatts/hours," Balluku declared.
