Tensions in the North, Xhaçka reacts: Violent attacks on KFOR, unprovoked!

The Foreign Minister of Albania, Olta Xhacka, has reacted in relation to the violent attacks in the north of Kosovo.

After the clashes between the protesters and the KFOR forces, Xhaçka emphasizes that de-escalation of the created situation is key at this moment.

She emphasizes that the dialogue mediated by the EU is the path towards the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia

"The unprovoked violent attacks against KFOR forces and the press are unacceptable and must be stopped immediately.

We express our full support for KFOR and wish a speedy recovery for the injured soldiers.

De-escalating the situation is key at this point.

The dialogue mediated by the EU is the path towards the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and mutual recognition that will ensure lasting stability in our region" , writes Xhacka on social networks.
