February 20, '91/ Berisha: Rama is no different from his father, 37 years

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Prof. Dr. Berisha, during the event of the 34th anniversary of the overthrow of the bust of dictator Enver Hoxha on February 20, 1991, accused Prime Minister Rama of an authoritarian and anti-Albanian rule, comparing him to his father, Kristaq Rama, who 37 years ago signed the hanging of Havzi Nela. Berisha emphasized that Rama has achieved an Albania without opposition, where all powers are concentrated in his hands, where he accused in harsh tones the imprisonment of opposition party leaders and the facilitation of electoral crime.

Berisha : Dear friends, today we are in a situation, in a state, in a dictatorship in some aspects the most savage that the nation has known. Today, Edi Rama, in 12 years of his rule, implemented point by point the most anti-Albanian platform ever drafted, that of Vaso Çubrillović, of the departure of Albanians from Albania.

Today, especially in his last term, he revealed to Albanians and the world an Albania without opposition. An Albania where all power should be in his hands. An Albania in which he imprisoned the 3 leaders of the main opposition parties. An Albania where electoral crime was not punished, but on the contrary was amnestied as a license to be selected in elections and to guarantee the mandate.

There may be people who disagree, but I tell you that in this respect, Edi Rama differs very little, perhaps not at all, from his father who 37 years ago, an intellectual, supposedly, signed the hanging of Havzi Nela on a rope in a public square. For the sole reason that Havzi Nela had different opinions from the executioner sculptor, Kristaq Rama.

So, Edi Rama worked and committed himself with all his strength for an Albania without opposition. But my friends, no, this is only one side.
Edi Rama worked for an Albania of misery, for an Albania of poverty.

All those who want to focus on the numbers, on the facts, will find that what happened in 12 years is the deliberate impoverishment of Albanians, it is poverty in the doctrine of dictators, who believe that the poor can rule more easily.

If Enver Hoxha chose bunkers and tunnels in his paranoia to invest 35% of the budget each year, Edi Rama, with his ministers and officials, stole no less than 40% of the Albanian budget each year.

This terrible theft is the reason why Albanians, who were among the best paid in 2013, whether in salaries or pensions compared to other peoples in the region, are today paid 2-3 times less than them.

This terrible theft is the reason why Albanians in their hospitals die not from disease, but from lack of treatment.

Why quality in schools is falling vertically.

So, this is the darkest aspect of today's narco-dictatorship.
