Bardhi against salary increase in 'Kushtetuese': A judge who gives 5 decisions a year does not deserve to be paid

Bardhi against salary increase in 'Kushtetuese': A judge who gives 5

The salary increase in the Constitutional Court was part of the discussions today in the parliamentary session.

The head of the Democratic Party Group, Gazmend Bardhi, said that the judges of the Constitutional Court do not have so many difficulties to have this privilege related to the salary increase.

According to him, a judge who gives 5 decisions a year does not deserve to be paid.

" If you respect the Constitutional Court, respect the decisions of the Constitutional Court. We are not against any law that increases the efficiency of the court. We are in the working group working on the legal package in cooperation with the allies. We in the working group have agreed on one essential thing, we will not accept any additional privileges for prosecutors and judges.

When salary increases for the administration and the legislature were approved, we brought an amendment where you answered that we started with the justice reform, for the justice system.

You cannot tell me about the members of the constitutional court who have more work difficulties than SPAK prosecutors and the Special Court. They have given up some personal privileges.

A judge who gives 5 decisions a year does not deserve to be paid, with all due respect. You are making a clear attempt to have control over the constitutional court. We want to raise wages starting from the special prosecutor's office. "- said Bardhi in his speech.
