Berisha receives former chairman of Britain's Conservative Group in the EP

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, hosted a meeting today at the DP headquarters with Geoffrey Van Orden, former Chairman of the British Conservative Group in the European Parliament and Founder of the European Conservatives Foundation New Directions, whose Honorary Chairman was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Lady Thatcher.

In a post on his Facebook profile, Berisha writes that this meeting discussed cooperation between the Democratic Party of Albania and the European Conservatives Foundation in the upcoming parliamentary elections and in the preparation of our electoral program.

" Today I had the honor of receiving in my office at the Democratic Party headquarters Mr. Geoffrey Van Orden, former Chairman of the UK Conservative Group in the European Parliament and Founder of the European Conservatives New Directions Foundation, whose Honorary Chair was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Lady Thatcher.

In this meeting we discussed the cooperation between the Democratic Party of Albania and the European Conservatives Foundation in the upcoming parliamentary elections and in the preparation of our electoral program. Mr. Van Orden expressed his pleasure to be in Albania at the invitation of the Democratic Party and the Albanian Policy Center Institute, while expressing his readiness for our fruitful cooperation.

With Van Orden, we talked about the aggravated political situation in Albania, the Albanian narco-state, as well as the upcoming parliamentary elections of May 11 and the victory of the Democratic Party of Albania. Also present at this meeting were Mr. Geoffrey Van Orden's wife, Mrs. Fannie Van Orden and Mrs. Edith Harxhi, Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Albania ", writes Berisha.
