"Blocking roads, ports, airport?", Bardhi for the October 7 protest: None of the scenarios are excluded
While we are still three days away from the October 7 national protest called by DP, the democratic leadership seems to be tight-lipped about its scenarios.
Details are missing because Democrats don't want the government to be prepared for protest scenarios. Even PD vice-president Gazment Bardhi believes that this is a well-kept secret.
"I don't believe that Rama knows what will happen, that if he knew the anger of the citizens, he would not have behaved in this way with the opposition, with the citizens. It is the DP's duty to lead this anger. What I can say for sure is that what is happening to democracy in the country requires a strong response.
We have invited the citizens to react in order to give the message to the Prime Minister that what we won 34 years ago cannot be easily lost", said Bardhi in an interview for the show "Pa Censure", on RTSH.
The only thing confirmed so far is that there will be no speeches. And, as has been the repeated history of Democrats, when there is no talk, there is action.
"I expect a massive protest and with the right people to continue it. The situation dictates a continuous reaction of citizens to change this reality.
Our political decision is for sustained and continuous protests. But does the opposition plan to block roads or strategic points such as ports and the airport? Mr. Bardhi left any action open. "We do not rule out any of these scenarios", said Gazment Bardhi, giving a not very optimistic answer to the question, whether the creation of the technical government is an achievable goal or not.
"Is it achievable or not, that remains to be seen, but I believe that Albania in 2025 needs to have free and fair elections."
