DP denounces: Tirana Municipality starts paving electoral asphalt in violation

On the eve of the parliamentary elections on May 11, the Municipality of Tirana has sent workers out to the field to pave electoral asphalt. The case was reported by Lisandër Hoxha, at Unit No. 4 of the capital.

In a live video, Hoxha states that contrary to the provisions of the Electoral Code, the municipality is paving roads with asphalt when it has clearly been determined that until January 11, they have the right to carry out works.

"The electoral asphalt before the elections, Tirana Municipality without a letter without a document, absolutely to make fun of the people. When the electoral code says until January 11 they have the right, after this date the CEC must be notified 5 days in advance to make this decision. The State Police has been notified, we expect them to carry out their duties according to the law ," Hoxha said in the video.

The officers claimed that they could not interfere in the affairs of the municipality, while Hoxha informed them that he would file a complaint with SPAK, as the Special Prosecution Office itself has set up structures to monitor violations on the eve of May 11.

"I will file the report with SPAK, I will not file it with the police station. Because there is an organization set up for the elections. Together with this footage, I will present it to SPAK and those responsible will go to prison," said Hoxha.
