Daughter of the politically persecuted: Today I stand with the DP for freedom

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held the closing meeting with the citizens of Vlora.

During this meeting, Eugjenia Shaqiri, the daughter of a former political prisoner, also spoke, bringing a strong message to all those who believe in the values ​​of democracy.

Shaqiri expressed his support for the Democratic Party and the Alliance for a Greater Albania as the only force that can stop the return of the past and restore hope for the future.

Her word:

I am Euxhenia Shaqiri, mother of a girl and daughter of Enver Shaqiri, a man who spent 25 years of his life in the prisons of the communist regime, in Burrel and Spaç, just because he sought freedom and the right to live with dignity.

Like many others who stood up to the dictatorship, my father sent a strong message to Albania: truth and freedom cannot be imprisoned forever. Today, as the daughter of a political prisoner and as a citizen who believes in the values ​​of freedom, I stand alongside the Democratic Party in its effort to eradicate the dark legacy of the past, which seeks to return through fear, injustice, and state capture.

I address every political persecuted and every citizen who believes in democracy and the rule of law: in these decisive days, let us unite around the Alliance for a Greater Albania. Together we will restore the hope and dignity that Albania needs.

Every vote cast for small parties is a lost vote.
