Maliqi: There are MPs with criminal pasts in the Parliament

"In the Parliament there are MPs with a criminal past and fake diplomas", this is how the Political Leader of the Freedom Party for the Berat District, Lefter Maliqi, said while commenting on the electoral reform.

Invited to Ora Neës, Maliqi emphasized that the political agreement with the parties is 30% democracy, since about 40 deputies will come out to see who wins the most votes.

"Until 2009, after this 2008 agreement, we did not see any MP with a criminal record in the Parliament of Albania.

We have never seen people with a criminal past as we have seen after 2009 when we saw MPs because of the decriminalization law which does not apply to everyone, especially recently we have seen people handcuffed by the parliament, with a criminal past, with fake degrees.

Because these were the MPs who were directly elected by the party chairman and they did not kill him for the people.

Even now with these changes in quotation marks, one third of those who will be on the closed list do not kill at all for the people.

An almost 30% democracy agreement was reached, which means that about 40 deputies will appear who wins the most votes, while 1 third are the closed lists.

The opposition has its own faults due to the release of the entire local government, due to the release of the mandates of the deputies", said Maliqi.
