The deputy of DP and the president of LDGSH Albana Vokshi has accused the government of lack of awareness campaign for breast cancer.

From Elbasan, where a meeting with women and girls is taking place, Vokshi said that there are 220 women who have lost their lives in the last 5 years due to improper health services.

Vokshi : In the absence of an awareness campaign by the Minister of Health, Education or all state institutions, our word remains, our awareness remains, what we can do not one day but 365 days of the year.

This should have been "Pink October", but this is another, darker October for all Albanian women and families. We have 220 ladies who have lost their lives in the last 5 years due to improper health service, awareness was not proper and for all other reasons.

This activity is only the first of a very busy calendar of the Women's Democratic League but also of the branches of the Democratic Party. We thought of activities in Korça, Durrës, Shkodër, Tirana and in all other branches of Albania. We will be door-to-door, street-to-street handing out brochures, inviting doctors and nurses who have gone through breast cancer who know how to better explain how women can face it.

For the Women's Democratic League and for the Democratic Party, every woman's life is important.

Unfortunately we have a woman minister of health who cared about nothing but the secret tenders of the pandemic instead of taking measures to help women. We have a woman at the head of the ministry, but women are deprived of health services. We have 12 women ministers, but are there any supportive policies for you women?

Women's health is not a statistic as the prime minister claims, so we are here to ask you to do tests, mammograms because a mammogram saves lives. Love your life, yourself.
