From the interpellation with Manastirli to the clashes over "Xhaçka"/ What is expected to happen today in the Parliament
The Assembly will hold its next plenary session today, which is expected to start with strong clashes following the report from the Venice Commission on the issue of Olta Xhaçka's mandate.
At yesterday's meeting of the Conference of Speakers, the DP requested that the vote on the motion to send Olta Xhaçka's mandate to the Constitutional Court be included in the agenda, but the majority refused, continuing to act as a "shield" for Rama's former minister.
The Venice Commission emphasized in its report that the decisions of the Constitutional Court cannot be rejected by a parliamentary majority, but the Socialists have interpreted the report as they see fit. Olta Xhaçka is accused of conflict of interest, because when she was a minister, the Government declared her husband, Artan Gaçi, a strategic investor.
Meanwhile, today's session is also expected to hold an interpellation with the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, requested by the DP parliamentary group, on school safety after the murder of 14-year-old Martin Cani by his peer, Mario Përlleshi, near the "Fan Noli" school in the capital.
The interpellation was planned to be held in the previous session, which was boycotted by the Socialists, after they felt insulted by the words that Ina Zhupa said to Erion Braçe, even though it was the latter who provoked the situation in the first place.
Also expected to be discussed is the request of 40 Socialist Party deputies for the forgiveness of fines for illegal construction in rural areas, a point that was not exhausted last week.
