As a result of the dropout, universities are collecting less money from student

Public universities are collecting less money from the fees students pay. This is due to the decrease in the number of the latter.

Of the 658 million ALL that were expected to be collected by the end of August, state institutions of higher education collected only 546 million ALL. There are 112 million ALL or 17% less money collected than the plan, writes A2 CNN.

From the fees that students pay to sit in faculty auditoriums, less money was collected than a year ago, thus confirming the decline of especially young people.

In just the last 5 years, the number of graduates enrolled in universities has shrunk by almost 6 thousand. From about 25,000 in the 2019-2020 academic year, the number of those who sat down for the first time in faculty auditoriums has dropped to just over 19,000.

The data from Taxes also show that during the past year the state institutions of higher education collected a little more than 143 million ALL. Compared to the year 2022, receipts from the study fee decreased by almost 16 million ALL or 9.8%.

In the 2023-2024 academic year alone, more than 11,000 high school graduates applied to study at universities abroad. This at a time when the government is trying to keep them in the country by luring them with scholarships and other facilities, if they choose some study programs announced as "national advantages."
