The protests have been going on for months, but they have not received any response from the authorities. The residents of Bëxulla were again protesting on Sunday.

They demand compensation according to the law on the Thumanë-Kashar road project that affects their homes.

The mayor of Berxulla, Muharrem Koni, told the media that the government's project has been deviated and they have facts for this. Koni said that the project is being kept secret, as he added that despite the start of the works, there is no concrete document for the project.

"We have stated that the project has been deviated and we have it with facts. The project in parallel development with the district will not be affected. The families that will be affected by the project will be more than 20 families. There are pillars that are 1 meter away from the road and will collapse. There is a big mystery here about the deviation of the project and the owners keep everything secret, they do not publish the facts. There is a massacre going on here. We have made many requests for conversation. The 'Gener 2' company has offered a deal to some of the residents for agricultural crops after the procedures were accelerated and they did not have a building permit. We have been protesting for 8 months, the works have started earlier and they still do not have a concrete statement about the project" , Koni said.
