Begaj expects the diplomatic corps: Dialogue between parties should return to

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, at the annual reception with the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Albania, conveyed today messages on the advancement of EU integration, cooperation in the region and with international partners, as well as the strengthening of the Euro-Atlantic structure, while emphasizing the commitment to fulfilling national objectives through clear strategies, justice, political dialogue and inclusiveness.
Albania, in the assessment of the President of the Republic, has further consolidated the role of a reliable international partner and a proactive one on the regional scene, demonstrating the highest support for the United States of America, the European Union and NATO.
“The opening of negotiations is evidence not only of the appreciation for the reforms that Albania has undertaken, but also an indicator of our determination and commitment to advance in this transformational process towards our European belonging. Our journey towards a united Europe is not only a political ambition, but is inextricably linked to values dear to us, such as: democracy, human rights and social cohesion”, - said President Begaj.
The Head of State confirmed the commitment to carrying out deep reforms, which remain the main priority for the country's future and membership in the European Union, which he considered a major project of peace, well-being and development: “Albanians are convinced that democracy, integration and the rule of law are not given, but are essential processes that require participation, cooperation and clear strategies for tangible results”.
Regarding the Albanian factor and the region, the President of the Republic emphasized in his speech before the Diplomatic Corps that “Albanians in Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and everywhere in the Diaspora remain in our attention for the preservation and strengthening of national identity and the guarantee of their rights”.
While reinforcing his stance of unconditional support for Kosovo, President Begaj appealed for the deepening of regional cooperation by guaranteeing the protection of European belonging and the advancement of the Euro-Atlantic course by Albania and the Albanian factor.

"Strengthening the Euro-Atlantic Alliance should be a priority. A strong and united NATO will contribute to facing every challenge", - said President Begaj, referring to global challenges, while noting the fact that Albania has played an active and sustainable role in international organizations, guided by faith and commitment to common democratic values.
In addition to the objectives in international and regional foreign policy, the President of the Republic, speaking about national priorities, expressed gratitude to Albania's partners who have contributed to the development of reforms in the country, as he called on the political class for dialogue and the development of the May 11 elections according to standards:
"The quality of the justice system at every level and the fight against corruption and organized crime remain key priorities.
I have a special thanks to our strategic ally, the United States of America, for the irreplaceable contribution to the consolidation of justice in the solid pillar of our democratic state.
The challenge remains the quality of political dialogue in the country.
Albania is known for intercultural and religious dialogue, and under this example that has marked Albanians for centuries, I hope that dialogue between political parties will also return to normality in political life in the country".

President Begaj invited the ambassadors to cooperate in facing common challenges and to continue contributing to the promotion of Albania for tourism, as one of the long-term development priorities: "I am convinced that even in this new year your mission has a special importance.
Cooperation, understanding and intensive contacts to strengthen international relations contribute to a world where tensions are reduced and dialogue, peace and prosperity prevail".
