Beleri to the Greek media: My court case will be finalized in Strasbourg

The MEP of "New Democracy", Fredi Beleri has warned from Strasbourg that he will take his court case to the end.

“I'd like to think my booking adventure is coming to an end. Anyway, if I don't get out of prison with 2/3 (of the sentence), my sentence ends in the middle of October. Of course, my judicial adventure will take years, because it will be finalized in Strasbourg. I will take it to the end, I believe that a great injustice has been done and we have before us a judicial marathon until the final decision is issued by the International Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg" , Beleri said in an interview with the Greek media.

Regarding his new position in the European Parliament, the former mayor of Himara said that the Greek minority there will be one of his priorities.

"Certainly it will be my priority to show the problems faced with regard to the rule of law and the right to self-determination that is not respected in Albania. The results of the last census are anything but true. The data is falsified. I believe that with the opportunity I have in the European Parliament, I can shine the spotlight and highlight throughout Europe the problems faced by the Greek minority as well as the Albanian citizens ", he concluded.
