The next failure, Durim Bami is released from Nikla's "strong" prison
Durim Bami, one of the most well-known characters of the world of crime in our country, has been released from prison in the United Arab Emirates.
He has been in prison for about two months, after he was arrested by the authorities of the United Arab Emirates in June, because he was declared internationally wanted by Albanian justice.
After the arrest, the court in Dubai imposed a 60-day "prison arrest" measure and he has now been released, as the same court has decided not to grant approval for his extradition to our country.
The arrest warrant for 45-year-old Durim Bami was issued by SPAK within the coded operation "Revanshi" on May 15 of this year, which was part of the list of 50 people accused of serious crimes, which were discovered after the investigation of conversations in the encrypted application "Sky Ecc".
Bami had gone to Dubai with his brother Valter Bami before the SPAK operation. The 45-year-old is accused of committing criminal offenses: "Providing the conditions and material means to commit murder", "Structured criminal group", "Cultivation of narcotic plants", and "Committing criminal offenses by a criminal organization, or organized criminal group".
Bami is accused of killing former MP Arben Ndokan together with Endrit Dokle, Markle Haka and Xelal Rraja. His task would be to provide information on the location of the former MP and notify others. Meanwhile, for the murder of Tori Xhečuka and Erigers Mihas, the 45-year-old had the main role of the organizer.
Also, together with former policeman Altin Morina, he is accused of cultivating narcotics in the Kruja area.
To date, the Albanian authorities have not managed to extradite any person from the United Arab Emirates, as it is worth mentioning that many well-known figures of the world of crime in our country stay calm in Dubai.
The only person who was deported from Dubai was Bruno Çobo, who was wanted internationally as part of a structured criminal group that benefited 4.7 million euros through Call Center fraud schemes. But, again, his deportation was carried out only after his wish.
